Evaluation Education: Building a cadre of professionals for a post-pandemic Caribbean
This panel will discuss the range of academic education and training resources available in the Caribbean region and the extent to which they are working to meet the needs of the discipline, and influence public policy in a post COVID world. Course lecturers will describe the courses they teach, and discuss the roles they expect regional graduates to play in Caribbean transformation. Participants will also hear from Dr. Michael Scriven about the importance of evaluation as a transdiscipline and also the findings on thrust of evaluation education among universities in Africa based on a study from the CLEAR Initiative.

Semblanza :A lecturer in evaluation in the Department of Management Studies, UWI, Cave Hill, Barbados since 2007, Dr Persaud has served as the Program Coordinator of the M.Sc. Project Management and Evaluation from 2009-2016. Her research focuses on promoting and building evaluation culture in the region.

His 50 years of teaching have encompassed all these areas, however he is most renowned for his contributions to the field of Evaluation, including its very definition and characterisation as a transdiscipline.
