The Population Council evaluated an innovative community media platform that uses mobile phone technology to catalyze the effects of women’s self-help groups in improving women’s knowledge on health and nutrition. The Council researchers will explain how through a rigorous process evaluation and a robust impact evaluation, the effectiveness of the intervention in improving women’s knowledge and program fidelity in achieving its intended outcomes were assessed. The presentation will also highlight the need and importance of integrating process evaluation in the overall measurement.
