Strategic evaluation for climate change adaptation in developing countries
In line with the increasing importance of climate change adaptation in the context of international policy commitments, donors enhance their national adaptation strategies and development funding. The recent growth of donors‘ adaptation portfolios, however, is still accompanied by considerable knowledge gaps with regard to its relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, sustainability and policy coherence. In this panel the authors present and discuss key findings of strategic evaluations from Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands for climate change adaptation in developing countries.
