Gender-responsive evaluation has been defined as a way to frame evaluations to identify and reduce gender inequalities. It is about understanding the degree to which gender and power relationships change as a result of an intervention, and the extent to which programmes are contributing towards gender equality, equity, human rights and women’s empowerment. It is also about the process of conducting an evaluation that is inclusive, participatory and respectful of all stakeholders.
By bringing together evaluators, practitioners and civil society experts, this webinar will focus on the application of gender responsive evaluation frameworks in the Asia-Pacific region. It will highlight the use of these frameworks with practical examples from the region. The experts and practitioners will present their views on how the application of these gender-responsive frameworks to assess interventions have been and can be useful to identify the degree to which gender and power relationships have changed. The outcomes of the webinar will contribute to broaden the understanding on how to improve future applications of gender-responsive and feminist frameworks.
