The event is expected to strengthen evaluation capacity of the RMEO members, share knowledge and experience of evaluation practices aimed at building back better. We envisage, the Skills’ building and M&E Knowledge Sharing event will involve various topics, Evaluation experts & practitioner within/outside RMEO and policy makers shall meet to share evaluation experience. Proposed topics are around: Innovations in evaluation approaches and methods to improve understanding of efforts to build back better after the COVID 19 Crisis, Lessons from evaluations about effective responses to past crises.

Biographie
Victor Kabanda is a monitoring and evaluation professional with more than eight years of direct experience in project M&E. Since January 2021 He has been serving as the Monitoring and Partners’ Insights for the MasterCard Foundation where he supports the M&E work for its partners in Rwanda.

Rwanda Monitoring and Evaluation Organization (RMEO) is professional membership organization registered within the Rwanda Governance Board under the NGO law. RMEO is comprised of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) professionals and practitioners from the public sector, private sector, civil society organizations, academia, the UN and students. RMEO has a mission of promoting a culture of using evidence-based information for decision making in Rwanda and improved development results through fostering professional M&E practices, this calls for competent and capable professionals and practitioners. RMEO aspires to be a leading Rwandan professional Monitoring and Evaluation Community of Practice in managing for development results.
The gLocal event will be aimed at strengthening evaluation capacity of the RMEO members, share knowledge and experience of evaluation practices, with an objective of building back better. It is envisaged that the M&E Knowledge Sharing event will involve various topics where Evaluation experts and practitioner from within and outside RMEO as well as policy makers shall come together to share evaluation experience and good practices. The proposed topics will be around (i)How can innovations in evaluation approaches and methods improve our understanding of efforts to build back better after crises? (ii) What have we learned from evaluations about effective responses to past crises – i.e. 'what worked' and 'what didn't work?
