VOPE role and leadership in the times of COVID19 and the SDGs
This roundtable will bring together global leaders of the evaluation field, including past IOCE presidents, to discuss the role and strategic contribution of Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation (VOPEs) to the evaluation field and to the strengthening of the global, regional and local evaluation multi-actor ecosystems. COVID19 and the Decade for Action towards the SDGs have brought additional challenges and also new opportunities that challenge past assumptions, requite new knowledge, skills and perspectives, and also demand us to learn from past experience. The panel will bring together different, multidisciplinary and multi-sector perspectives that will nourish a new VOPE paradigm and provide further guidance and motivation for VOPE strengthening but also for their re-invention from more inclusive, participatory, democratic and also innovative perspectives that respond to current scenarios.
