Supporting Emerging Evaluators to learn, grow and contribute: Walking the talk
While there are many opportunities for EEs through capacity strengthening workshops and short courses, with many increasingly available virtually due to COVID-19, emerging evaluators often lack the technical skills to undertake evaluations as these opportunities only provide knowledge and theoretical understandings. What EEs would benefit from is hands-on workplace immersion whereby they learn by doing the actual technical evaluation work. CLEAR AA, SAMEA, UNICEF and WFP have come together to design a programme that will provide support to selected EEs, through involvement with actual evaluations projects. This session will be a joint panel discussion by WFP, UNICEF, CLEAR-AA, and SAMEA that will see the launch of the Emerging Evaluators (EES) Programme 2021/2022.
